What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Engineer position at Actalent?
Mange external corrective actions that are received from our customers. Provide internal communications pertaining to all customer corrective actions received Coordinating with external inspection providers as needed. Collaborate with Process Engineering to establish process controls that meet the expectations of the customer Determine quality metrics for all manufacturing procedures Identify the root of technical issues and recommend fixes Analyze and solve problems on a wide variety of quality issues related to manufacturing processes Investigate and correct quality issues for internal, external, and interplant supplier quality issues. Coordinate containment and corrective action activities Thoroughly document quality issues and quality performance Lead the implementation of Built-in Quality (BIQ) through various value streams Understand details of engineering drawings and specifications to aid in assessment of conformance or non-conformance of a variety of conditions in manufactured components
These roles are taking projects back to root cause. Every morning 10 am meeting they walk through all the defects, those will be divided up and then these roles will go support those lines, and take that assembly line to closure. Investigating the root cause, taking countermeasures or putting in containment blocks, working with suppliers if needed or the MFG engineers. 2 years’ experience or more. Would look at a candidate with internship doing this. 95% of this role is in house process updating.
