Description:
In this position, the candidate will be responsible for providing quality engineer support for industrial jet engine power turbine programs. The Quality Engineer (QE) will team with engineering, procurement and other cross-functional organizations to drive the business and its suppliers to achieve quality, cost and delivery goals.
Job Summary:
• Perform first piece process approvals.
• Perform special process assessments such as, NDT, Heat Treat, Coating, Brazing, Welding, etc.
• Perform Engineering Source Approvals (ESA)
• Perform supplier special process compliance assessments
• Review material test results against engineering requirements
• Implementation of effective corrective and preventative actions
• Manage supplier and customer escapes
• Provide quality metrics
• Supplier quality assurance oversight for supplier issues
• Review processes for cost reduction opportunities
• Generate new process specifications, procedures and process audit checklists
• Develop ESA requirements for PWPS
• Recommend alternate raw materials that will meet design intent

• The selected individual must be self-motivated with strong leadership, project management, and problem solving skills, with a demonstrated track record of accomplishments
• This individual will be required to provide quality leadership and quality technical support within the program’s value streams.
