Revit Technician - Indianapolis, IN
We are actively hiring a Revit Technician to support a Water Resources Design team in Indianapolis, IN! This person will primarily be responsible for Modeling and Drafting Water/Wastewater Treatment Facilities and Water Distribution/Collection Systems across Indiana. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a couple years of relevant industry experience to apply their skills while building a long-term career within a highly technical project load. This person will be working with one of the premiere Water/Wastewater Consulting firms in the state, and will be supporting an incredibly stable government-funded industry that heavily impacts our local society.
Job Responsibilities:
This Revit Technician will primarily utilize Revit to create 3D Models, and will also use AutoCAD to create 2D Construction Drawings. They will use both programs to draw all aspects of the Treatment Plants, including Structural, MEP, Architectural, Process Piping, and Civil. This person will primarily sit in the office for their Design work, but will also have the ability to make field visits occasionally for site visits and measurements. The Revit Technician will utilize the following functions within the Revit Design software, and should be proficient in these areas: Edit Component Types; Draw Detail Lines; Edit Project Information; Render a 3D View; Create New Component Types; Create and Edit Level Types; Modify Materials; Create a New Schedule; Create New Families; Create Project Parameters; Create Renderings; and Create Walls, Floors, or Roofs from Conceptual Masses.
Job Requirements:
- Professional Revit experience OR 4-year degree in design with multiple relevant Revit courses and internship
- Revit Proficiency - Ability to use Revit with little-to-no training/assistance (see Job Responsibilities above)
- AutoCAD Proficiency - Ability to use AutoCAD with little-to-no training/assistance
- Experience managing and communicating through project deadlines
Miscellaneous:
- The standard work schedule will include Monday through Thursday from 7am to 5pm EST: plus Friday from 7am to 11am EST. Candidates are also welcomed to work Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm EST, if they prefer. Employees average between 44-45 hours per week. Office is South Side of Indianapolis, IN.
- Compensation will depend on experience, as demonstrated below:
- CAD Specialist I ($21/hour to 28/hour) - Knows AutoCAD and a little Revit; Minimal professional experience.
- CAD Specialist II ($28/hour to $35/hour) - Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit, with 3 to 5 years of experience.
- Training will be provided for the Water/Wastewater functions of this role, but candidates must be proficient in AutoCAD and Revit.
- Candidates will receive training from some of the top engineers in Indiana, and they will be assigned a mentor for professional growth.
- Candidates will receive frequent performance evaluations, including an annual review and pay raise each July.
- This is a recession-proof industry, as the government continues to fund Water/Wastewater infrastructure projects.
