What are the responsibilities and job description for the Scientist position at Actalent?
Description:
The scientist will be responsible for performing gap assessments to support biocompatibility for EUMDR. Specifically, the scientist in this role would be supporting their neuromodulation group with a biostability project and metal ion leaching project. This includes going through submissions, looking at testing strategies with the chemistry team, literature searching, deep diving into company's data repository to support the biocompatibility submissions on the Chemistry side.
This role is supporting their Neuromodulation business unit for a biorepository project and a metal ion leaching project.
Most time will be spent doing report writing vs doing analytical testing
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Chemistry with 3 years of experience in Medical Device industry
OR
PhD in chemistry, polymers, material science or like industry with 1 year of experience
Strong written and verbal communication to be able to be self sufficient with the GAP analysis
Familiarity with LC/MS, GC/MS, or ICP/MS analysis
