Description:
Work through all phases of the software product development lifecycle (gathering requirements, design, development, testing, validation, and maintenance) in an agile environment.
• Analyze, enhance, customize, and adapt current products and solutions for testing electronic control and communication products.
• Develop tools (both software and hardware) to automate the collection of test data and/or facilitate system configurations and troubleshooting
o Develop new test scripts in any object-oriented programming language (C and python experience preferred)

▪ Write test cases
▪ Write test scripts covering test cases
▪ Debug and troubleshoot test scripts
▪ Fix automated test scripts (if any problems found) • Establish, monitor, and maintain automated testing scripts and framework.
o Improve code base base.
o Design more efficient testing.
• Utilize Agile Development in cooperation with project team members and participates in daily Scrum and tri-weekly Sprint close/open.
• Performs periodic code review and version control and maintains good documentation of the product under test/development.
• Tests solutions in controlled, real situations before releasing to production.
o Run test cases

• Develops test and qualification strategies, and procedures.
• Conducts industry research on new technology and solutions.
• Configure automated tests to execute reliably and efficiently in CI/CD environments.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:
4 years of progressive software engineering experience working with C/C , python, or other object-oriented languages
• Strong software development experience for both product development and testing.
• Comfort architecting new software solutions and developing requirements documents.
• Comfort developing and executing test plans.
o Maintain and expand our existing test automation framework and test coverage.
• Experience conducting manual/automated test.
• Experience with test driven development.
• Experience communicating with other engineers and managing defects discovered on the testing process.
• Familiarity with source control tools (GIT, Subversion, etc).
• Familiarity utilizing bug tracking and requirement tools (Jira, Jama, etc.).
• Experience developing cross-platform applications
Additional Desired Qualifications:
• Experience working with Qt applications.
• Working knowledge of CAN, USB, RS232, R485, Ethernet and/or other communication networking interfaces
• Experience with industrial communications protocols such as MODBUS.
• Experience working with embedded Linux platforms (Raspberry Pi, TI SDK, Beaglebone, etc.)
• Experience with lab equipment (power supply, meters, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, etc.)
• Experience developing user interfaces having a good sense of UX along with strong UI development skills.
• Familiarity with code quality tools (Klocwork, SQUoRE, Black Duck, etc)
•Experience improving and maintaining the efficiency of the test process/tooling.
