Specimen Processor
Job Description:
- Receive samples, open boxes, organize workspace.
- Enter all patient demographic and testing information into LIS system.
- Label all samples for testing, and run automated aliquoting equipment.
- Check samples and requisition forms for adequacy and flag any discrepancies or issues.
- Perform Sample Prep.
- Patient data entry into LIS system.
- Running automated equipment and incubators.
- Accurate labeling of patient samples.
- Following daily decontamination protocol.
- Handling problem resolution upon receipt of information from the Customer Care team.
- Organizing and restocking of all lab supplies.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:
- High School diploma
- Attention to detail
- Ability to accurately follow and remember written instructions

- Ability to change and move in a fast-paced environment
- Comply with all safety guidelines
- Apply learned concepts to troubleshoot novel situations
- Initiative to prioritize patient care always
