Entry Level lab role supporting a level 1 Trauma Center
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in maintaining supplies, helping with inventory, and placing orders.
- Perform patient check-in while maintaining excellent customer service.
- Manage client test results according to established procedures.
- Utilize the electronic health record (EHR), laboratory information system (LIS), client software (web portal), and the email system to efficiently complete daily tasks.
- Utilize the laboratory information system (LIS) to monitor the appropriate test pending logs and communicate to the technical staff to ensure testing is not delayed.
- Perform all specimen processing functions to receive and process specimens according to laboratory protocol.
- Perform urine collections for urine drug screens and complete proper paperwork.
- Operate laboratory equipment for which they have received applicable training and supervisor approval.
- Work with centrifuge processing and accessioning
Skills & Qualifications:
- High School diploma required
- 6 months lab experience preferred
- Ability to read and follow SOP
- Centrifuge operation
- Specimen processing
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $22.00/hr.
