Structural Drafter

Job Description

Our residential architectural firm specializes in working with production home builders. We are seeking a Structural Engineering Drafter with experience in residential architecture. We are looking for an energetic and positive individual with a strong entrepreneurial mindset who is ready to begin their career and grow with us.

Responsibilities:

• Work directly with the Project Manager and Director of Architecture in a mentorship role.
• Collaborate with an Engineering drafting team to produce complete construction documents for production home builders, including floor plans, elevations, and details for new construction of single-family and multi-family residential projects.
• Think critically, identify and solve problems in a timely manner, and work well with a group for common goal solutions.
• Be self-motivated and self-directed to accurately and thoroughly complete projects.
• Be open and willing to make adjustments based on the Director of Engineering's feedback.
• Balance team and individual responsibilities, give and welcome feedback.

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience specifically in residential architecture.
• Drafting or Structural Engineering Associate's Degree or higher.
• Experience working in an Engineering or Architecture firm.
• Experience taking architectural plans from conceptual design through construction documents.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD.

Work Environment

Our firm is structured with 3 principals, 4 structural engineers, and 8 draftsmen. The principals have offices while the rest of the firm works in an open-plan office with workstations. We have a 'willing to work hard for reward' mentality, and we are not looking for someone who just wants to clock in and clock out. The most successful people here have a 'stay until the work is done' attitude. Standard working hours are from 8 AM to 5:30 PM. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $55000.00 - $65000.00

This is a fully onsite position in QUAKERTOWN,PA.
