Job Description
- This position will begin by co-working with Leadership to grow the energy practice in the Power & Renewables sector and will be responsible for execution of the substation electrical scope.
- We are looking for an experienced electrical engineer interested in a role focused on business growth and technical project management.
- The Engineer will collaborate with coworkers and clients while utilizing the most current technical software and techniques to manage the Scope, Design, Schedule, and Budget of multidiscipline projects.
- Creating engineering designs and scope for substation projects and confirming documentation and support is available to necessary personnel.
- Possible items include conduit and cable sizing/routing, grounding layout, general arrangement, equipment specification, one-line diagrams, three-line diagrams, control & relaying schematics, and wiring diagrams.
- Proficient with substation physical and/or protection and control (P&C) design and familiarity with industry standards.
- Capable of leading complex substation projects with a multi-discipline team from preliminary design through construction, including technical details, bid evaluation, schedule, drawing review, and construction support.
- Preparing bills-of-material (BOM) and equipment specifications to procure required equipment and materials for a substation project.
- Preparing supporting documentation for engineering permits when necessary.
- Analyzing engineering issues, structures, equipment, etc., and recommending appropriate solutions and alternate design options.
