Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Quality Control Technician to join our team in the raw ingredient warehouse. This role requires you to be on your feet most of the day, performing basic lab tests on raw, in-process, and finished goods, including pH, moisture, salt, fat content, and color checks. You will also conduct taste tests and detailed examinations to ensure product quality and compliance with established standards.
Responsibilities
- Perform detailed examination of all incoming raw materials, ingredients, packaging, and finished products to determine wholesomeness, product identity, and physical characteristics.
- Compare results against established standards and take appropriate corrective actions when standards are not met.
- Conduct detailed audits of processing operations and good manufacturing practices to enforce product safety and determine compliance with established standards.
- Coordinate corrective actions with management when deviations are found.
- Maintain the structure and content of QA-related logs, registers, and work instructions.
- Maintain complete records of all QA-related audits and inspections.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Biology, or Chemistry (preferred but not required)
- Experience working in a lab environment
- 2-3 years of experience in a quality inspection role, preferably in a dry foods operation
Work Environment
You will be working in both the lab and on the plant floor, collecting samples and conducting swabs. The initial working hours are from 2 pm to 10:30 pm, but there may be a change to 11 am to 7:30 pm in the future. Flexibility regarding working hours is required
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00
