Japanese / English Bilingual IT Support Specialist – Global Logistics Company (J35851)

A global logistics company is seeking a skilled Japanese / English Bilingual IT Support Specialist to join and provide technical support across their logistics operations. The ideal candidate has previous experience working in a logistics, freight forwarding, or warehouse management environment and understands the technology needs of a fast-paced supply chain business. Experience with CargoWise or other logistics/transportation management systems (TMS/WMS) is a strong plus. This is a direct hire, full time position and onsite work setting.

Japanese / English Bilingual IT Support Specialist Key Responsibilities

• Provide daily technical support to employees, including troubleshooting hardware, software, network, and mobile device issues across office and warehouse environments.
• Support logistics-specific applications such as CargoWise, WMS platforms, TMS systems, scanners, label printers, handheld devices, and other operational tools.
• Manage user accounts, access rights, and security permissions for internal systems including ERP, WMS, email, cloud platforms, and logistics platforms.
• Maintain and troubleshoot warehouse technologies including Wi-Fi, RF scanners, barcode printers, shipping label systems, and inventory management devices.
• Assist with onboarding and offboarding processes by preparing computers, configuring accounts, and ensuring proper system access for new and departing employees.
• Monitor network performance, VPN connectivity, and IT infrastructure to ensure smooth daily operations across office and warehouse locations.
• Maintain IT asset inventory, coordinate equipment upgrades, and liaise with vendors for repairs, procurement, and system support.
• Support cybersecurity procedures, monitor alerts, enforce IT security policies, and assist with basic incident response.
• Document IT processes, create user guides, and provide training for employees on internal systems and logistics software.
• Other duties as assigned

Japanese / English Bilingual IT Support Specialist Required Qualifications

• 2–4 years of IT support experience in a logistics, freight forwarding, supply chain, or warehouse operations environment (required).
• Must be able to speak, read and write in Japanese (JLPT N2 level or above)
• Familiarity with logistics workflows such as inbound/outbound operations, freight documentation, inventory control, or warehouse scanning devices.
• Strong knowledge of Windows OS, Microsoft 365, Azure AD, VPNs, basic networking, and common enterprise applications.
• Experience supporting end users in both office and warehouse settings.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues efficiently.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to support users at all technical levels.
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced, time-sensitive logistics environment.
• Hands-on experience with CargoWise, Magaya, Descartes, SAP for Logistics, or other TMS/WMS platforms.
• Experience managing RF scanners, label printers, and other warehouse operational equipment.
