A packaging manufacturer near the Bardstown, KY area is looking for a Machine Operator responsible for the setup and operation of automated bagging machines. The ideal candidate will have related experience within the packaging manufacturing industry.
This is a full-time position with excellent benefits including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401 (K), paid holidays and vacation. Must be able to work on-site.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor production schedule (confirm correct bags, labeling and materials)
- Confirm details of job orders (specifications and amounts)
- Start machines – confirm smooth operation – adjust parts if needed
- Monitor machine parts (report issues to supervisor)
- Regular PMs on machines and other equipment – utilizing hand tools
- Conduct production & shift report
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (certification or associates/technical degree preferred)
- Must have packaging industry experience
- Experience operating automated bagging machines is preferred
- Knowledge of cGMP (current good manufacturing practices)
- Confident with computer skills
- Good attention to detail
- Ability to work well in a multi-cultural environment
- Able to intermittently sit, stand, walk, climb stairs, stoop, kneel, crouch & lift up to 30 pounds
