What are the responsibilities and job description for the ADS Program Manager position at Active Generations?
As the Adult Day Services Program Manager, you'll be responsible for coordinating daily programming, supervising staff, maintaining participant records, and ensuring that every participant receives person-centered care in a safe, enriching environment. You'll work closely with staff, caregivers, and nursing team members to provide top-quality support to older adults with varying needs.
What You’ll Do
- Oversee and implement life enrichment activities in coordination with the care team
- Supervise and support Program Specialists, Nurses, and Volunteers
- Lead staff scheduling, annual evaluations, and team meetings
- Assist participants with activities of daily living (ADLs) including toileting and showers
- Administer medications as directed and maintain accurate documentation
- Create monthly calendars and daily schedules for both locations
- Communicate regularly with caregivers and coordinate care conferences
- Maintain a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for all participants
- Ensure compliance with state provider provisions and agency standards
- Support participant intake, enrollment, and orientation
- Participate in professional development and assist with staff onboarding and training
Qualifications
- Required: High School Diploma or GED
- Preferred: College degree and/or CNA certification
- 2 years of experience in a related field (aging services, healthcare, or human services)
- Medication Aide (UMA) and First Aid/CPR certified (or willing to obtain upon hire)
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
- Comfortable with documentation, scheduling, and using Microsoft Excel/Word
- Ability to lift, assist with mobility, and work in a fast-paced environment

Pay: From $55,000.00 per year
