Ellensburg Daily Record has an opening for Advertising Director

The ideal candidate will be self-motivated individual who is an effective presenter, an ideas generator who is creative and strategic. This candidate must possess good oral and written comprehension, deductive reasoning, and excellent managerial skills. Must have a strong work ethic and ability to motivate staff and must be willing to lead by example. Additionally, the ideal candidate must have strong interpersonal skills and client orientation and exhibit an ability to work effectively with internal and external contacts as a team member as well as a team leader. Based out of our Ellensburg Washington office, this position will lead a staff of several outside multimedia sales executives that sell print and digital marketing solution to customers of APG Media Washington for our Ellensburg Daily Record and Dailyrecordnews.com and a suite of digital marketing solutions.

Essential Functions :

• This position will manage the local sales strategy, both from a business, sales and technical perspective.
• This position will assist with the projections for local advertising.
• Consistently meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets.
• This position will come with a plan of action to grow the local print and digital revenue and to motivate staff in that direction.
• Hold team accountable for revenue goals, KPI's and other metrics.
• This position will rely extensively on their experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

Minimum Requirements :

Technology Skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook / Thunderbird required. Ability to learn other relevant software programs and teach direct reports is paramount.

Education

Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
