Title: Database Engineer - Postgres, MySQL, Ansible and Terraform

Location: Remote - Candidate must be in EST or CST ONLY

Salary: $135 - $145K bonus

Database Engineer to join our DBA function of the team. This is a senior hands-on role supporting high-volume, real-time transactional systems, with the opportunity to shape the team’s standards and practices from the ground up.

What We Need

• 7 years in database admin/support, incl. 7 with Postgres
• Deep expertise in performance tuning, HA, clustering (pg_auto_failover)
• Strong SQL and indexing skills
• Experience with OLTP environments, replication, backup/recovery
• MySQL, Terraform/Ansible, and Perl experience are nice to have
• Self-starter, comfortable working independently and cross-functionally
  
  

Key Responsibilities

• Design and optimize schemas, queries, and indexes
• Troubleshoot performance issues and manage replication/HA
• Collaborate with Engineering/Ops on deployment and automation
• Contribute to documentation, runbooks, and infra tooling
