Addison Group is seeking a skilled and customer-focused IT Helpdesk Technician to join our clients IT support team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in a Windows-based environment, with strong knowledge of Active Directory, ticketing systems, and mobile device management. This role is critical in ensuring the smooth operation of end-user systems and providing timely technical support across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide first- and second-level technical support to end-users via phone, email, and ticketing system.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Windows OS, Microsoft Office Suite, printers, and other desktop applications.
- Manage user accounts, groups, and permissions in Active Directory.
- Monitor and respond to service requests using a ticketing system (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira, Zendesk).
- Configure, deploy, and support mobile devices (iOS/Android) using MDM solutions (e.g., Intune, AirWatch).
- Assist with onboarding and offboarding processes, including hardware setup and account provisioning.
- Maintain accurate documentation of issues, solutions, and procedures.
- Escalate complex issues to appropriate IT teams when necessary.
- Participate in IT projects and initiatives as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2 years of experience in an IT helpdesk or technical support role.
- Proficiency in Windows 10/11, Active Directory, and Office 365.
- Experience with ticketing systems and remote support tools.
- Familiarity with mobile device management platforms.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Microsoft Intune or similar MDM platforms.
- Knowledge of basic networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
- IT certifications such as CompTIA A , Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate, or similar.
