Our global manufacturing client is looking to add a manufacturing design engineer to their team who would have responsibilities for the mechanical design/drafting for customer specific capital equipment orders. The candidate would also responsible for Tooling and Fixture design, creating BOM’s and supporting other functions of the business such as purchasing and aftermarket departments.

The candidate would also responsible for Tooling and Fixture design, creating BOM’s and supporting other functions of the business such as purchasing and aftermarket departments.
Responsibilities Include
- Create machine designs in Pro E Wildfire 4.0 and SolidWorks 2021
- Create and maintain accurate change logs and issue logs during machine build process. Follow company ECN process to correct design issues.
- Support electrical and hydraulic schematic drafting.
- Support capital equipment machine start-up and debug/trouble shooting during all phases of the build.
- Support Work with purchasing and communicate with vendors to ensure designs are correctly and efficiently manufactured. Candidate will support purchasing with technical details and maintain machine designs.
- Estimates and Designs tooling for company.
- Work with Project Management to ensure all customer expectations are considered in design phase.
- Work with global teammates to support the design and fabrication of Vector, EasyFlow and EcoFlow machines built at their sites.
- Will work on reviewing different product families to help establish a more standard component list to help drive Product Standardization.
- Work with aftermarket sales team to aid in customer part/information requests for onsite machine issues
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent work experience
- Minimum of two (2) years’ 3D modeling and 2D designing/drafting experience with AutoCAD, Pro-Engineer and SolidWorks
- Has a hands-on experience with how machines run and designing / assembling fixtures preferred (i.e., machining, sheet metal, welding, etc.)
- Proficient Microsoft Applications including Project Microsoft, Word and Excel
- Good written & oral communication skills
- Knowledge of SAP a plus
