Position Summary:
Our client is seeking a SEC Reporting Manager to join its corporate finance team. This individual will be responsible for leading the preparation and filing of SEC documents, ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP and SEC regulations, and supporting key financial reporting initiatives. The role requires strong technical accounting expertise, superior analytical skills, and excellent collaboration across cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the preparation and review of SEC filings including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, and other periodic and current reports.
- Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timely filing of all required SEC documents.
- Collaborate closely with external auditors, legal counsel, investor relations, and internal teams to gather and validate financial and non-financial data for public disclosures.
- Monitor changes in SEC regulations and U.S. GAAP and assess their impact on the company’s reporting obligations.
- Drive continuous improvements in the external reporting process, including automation and internal controls.
- Lead SOX and maintaining documentation and testing controls. Will provide results on issues and plans to make corrective action.
- Assist with stock based compensation.
- Support quarterly earnings release processes and related materials.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- CPA required.
- Minimum 3 years of progressive accounting and reporting experience, including public accounting (Big 4 or national firm preferred) and/or public company experience.
- Deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SEC rules and regulations, and financial reporting requirements.
- Experience auditing public companies or current SEC experience in a public company required.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Experience with NetSuite, Workiva, Oracle, or similar ERP/reporting tools a plus.
Remote candidates must reside in Washington State due to compliance requirements.
Pay range and compensation package - Our client offers: $120,000 to $130,000 base salary range dependent on experience level. Annual bonus target based on company and individual performance. Excellent benefits: Medical, dental, vision 401K match, PTO, and paid holidays.
Hybrid work schedule, 0 to 2 days in-office per week. Must be flexible to work in-office if requested.
