Senior Accounting Manager

Location: Hybrid work schedule near Northbrook, IL (Onsite Tuesday–Thursday; Remote Monday & Friday)

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead day-to-day operations of the corporate accounting function
• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including consolidations and reporting
• Review journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements for accuracy and compliance
• Manage and develop a high-performing accounting team
• Prepare and analyze financial reports, identifying trends and variances
• Drive process improvements and enhance accounting systems and workflows
• Interpret and implement new accounting standards as needed
• Serve as the primary contact for internal and external audits
• Support intercompany accounting and ensure alignment across business units
• Partner with cross-functional teams on financial systems, controls, and special projects
• Assist with acquisition integration and ensure consistent accounting practices

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 5–7 years of progressive accounting/finance experience (7 preferred)
• Minimum 3 years of management experience
• Strong technical accounting skills and working knowledge of U.S. GAAP
• Excellent leadership, communication, and project management capabilities
• Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP experience a plus)
• CPA and/or MBA strongly preferred
