The HR Generalist ensures that Adelante Mujeres' Human Resource Department champions the health of the organization and the needs of our employees. The HR Generalist plays an active role in attracting, recruiting, onboarding and integration of Adelante Mujeres' best asset, it's employees. This rolee is responsible for ensuring a compliant and efficient hiring process that delivers a positive experience for candidates and managers and promotes Adelante as a workplace of choice. The HR Generalist will collaborate with department managers on a regular basis throughout the hiring and onboarding process and proactively identify future hiring needs. They will match qualified candidates with the right position that aligns with their background and is highly skilled using various sources to attract potential employees. The HR Generalist may provide support and coverage as needed to the HR Generalist responsible for benefits administration and policy management. The HR Generalist reports to the People & Culture Director.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- In collaboration with the hiring manager, identifies, designs and implements overall hiring strategy
- Prepares recruitment materials including job announcement and posts the positions to job platforms
- Reviews and evaluates applicants' relevant knowledge, skills, soft skills, experience and aptitudes, and provide shortlists of qualified potential hires to hiring managers
- Coaches the hiring manager/supervisor and Interview Committee on the hiring process including drafting and reviewing interview questions
- Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records including hiring-related documentation
- Prepare on-boarding and integration program for new hires and conduct new hire orientations
QUALIFICATIONS:

- A passionate commitment to the goals and mission of Adelante Mujeres and support for immigrant and BIPOC communities
- Knowledge of employment law and HR practices obtained through a degree or certification in HR such as Human Resources Management, Business, or a related field or 2 years of relevant HR experience
- Microsoft Office Suite & HRIS experience.
- Bilingual-Bicultural Spanish/English required
- Critical thinking and collaboration skills
- Ability to develop good working relationships with a wide range of people, including excellent verbal and written communication
- Ability to be resourceful, drive efficiencies and problem-solve effectively
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion

Additional Requirements:

SALARY & BENEFITS:
- Salary range: $52K-$56K annually, depending on qualifications
- Classification Full-time, salaried position
- Telework: up to 2 days a week
