APS Receiving Inspection Clerk / Parts Runner Job Description
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- The duties of the Receiving Inspection Clerk / Parts Runner are inclusive but not limited to:
- Receiving and inspection of incoming parts and equipment to determine if there are nonconforming conditions (broken /defective)
- Identifying accuracy of parts received through inspection of the item, verifying the item received is what was ordered through comparison of the packing slip and purchasing document.
- Completing the Receiving and Inspection form to document the above received and inspected disposition of material, parts and equipment.
- Creating labels to be adhered to the received items with information taken from purchase documents and staging items on the applicable designated job shelf.
- Conduct pickup and delivery of parts identified during the workday to support the production effort.
REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS:
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
- Ability to complete and maintain all required training required by the company or contract.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or general education degree equivalent.
- 1-2 years of related experience and/or training.
- Ability to navigate surrounding areas through use of GPS.
- Proficiency with email and familiarity with basic computing functions. and operating systems.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, sit, bend stoop and kneel; use hands, reach with hands and arms and balance. The employee must be able to lift or move up to 45 lbs.
ADDITIONAL NOTES:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to near moving mechanical parts and outdoor weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is that of an office environment. When traversing through the boatyard, the employee shall wear closed toe shoes, safety glasses and hearing protection.
