Job Location
San Diego, CA, Onsite. Minimal domestic travel required, possibly 10% of time.
Job Description
This position involves performing visual, dimensional inspection and electrical inspection of incoming product, raw materials, hardware and in process parts for quality workmanship, appearance and conformity to applicable specifications and standards. Also, responsible for the receipt and shipment of incoming and outgoing products, materials and supplies. Gathers, verifies, and packs items for shipment according to specifications and transportation method used.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Receive product, material per company specifications and procedure.
- Perform incoming inspection utilizing appropriate tools and equipment
- Verify certification and conformity to production specifications
- Records results per procedures.
- Be part of the material review board in the disposition of rejected product, material
- Verify product against purchase orders and packing slips
- Sort, label and store items in designated areas
- Update inventory control records
- Load and unload trucks, stack and retrieve items safely
- Possible use of forklift
- Packaging and shipping of products
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Required Skills, Experience, and Education
- High school diploma or GED required
- Verbal and written communication skills
- Computer proficiency
- Forklift license a plus
- Basic knowledge of shipping and receiving processes
- Proficiency in basic drawing/specification interpretation
- Mechanical aptitude and ability
- Exposure to calipers, micrometers
- Ability to generate written reports
Physical Requirements
- Expected to use basic calipers and measuring devices
- Occasionally required to walk or climb
- Able to lift at least 25 pounds
Pay Scale
At GALT Aerospace, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as one grows and develops within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $17- $21 per hour, and a specific candidate's base pay will depend on their skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Salary : $17 - $21
