Position Contributions to Work Group:
- Support the FP&A team’s processes along with the Corporate Reporting team and monthly reporting related to RVF, PODD, etc.
Typical task breakdown:
- Monthly management reporting using tools such as Excel and Alteryx.
- Assisting with financial analysis of monthly financial reporting.
Responsibilities:
- Review accounting records, financial statements or other financial reports created by staff to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.
- Review and approve budgets and periodic reports that compare budgeted costs to actual costs.
- Create recordkeeping and accounting systems.
- Prepare forms and manuals for accounting and bookkeeping personnel and direct their work activities.
- Survey operations to ascertain accounting needs and to recommend and/or develop solutions to business and financial problems.
- Advise executives about issues such as resource utilization, tax strategies and the assumptions underlying budget forecasts.
- Review and analyze data to detect deficient controls, duplicated effort, extravagance, fraud, or non-compliance with laws, regulations, and management policies.
- Analyze and verify annual reports, financial statements, and other records, using accepted accounting and statistical procedures to assess financial condition and facilitate financial planning.
Technical Skills:
- Advanced Excel skills, analytical skills, technologically sound
- Altyrex user skills
Soft Skills:
- Good communication, supportive team members, ability to escalate appropriately when needed
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or data science
- 10 years’ experience or associate’s degree with more experience
- Master’s degree appropriate
