About the Position
Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) work with children diagnosed with autism or other developmental impairments to help them learn new skills and improve their behavior. Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) methods teach individuals communication, social interaction, and self-care skills while simultaneously addressing and reducing challenging behaviors.
Qualifications
-18 years or older
-High school diploma or GED
-Pass a background check
-Active good-standing RBT certification with the BACB and the Nevada state license
-Able to work Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM.
-Must have a valid Nevada driver's license and reliable transportation
-Ability to openly communicate with supervisor regarding caseload, productivity, issues/concerns, and time off
-Must possess initiative and work well with others in a team-oriented environment
-Ability to perform work duties independently and be flexible
Responsibilities
-Provide clinic-based ABA therapy and collect behavior and skill acquisition data during the sessions.
-Provide personalized instruction to clients individually and in groups by adjusting teaching strategies to accommodate their diverse needs and preferences. Utilize and apply Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) techniques and methodologies created by professionals such as BCBA, BCaBA, and consultants.
-Establishes explicit goals for all programs and projects and effectively conveys these goals to families and clients.
-Consistently implement programs regularly and systematically, as specified in the child's treatment plan.
-Meets with parents or guardians to deliberate on the progress of the client and the key areas of focus based on the treatment plan.
-Evaluate clients' requirements and adjust the antecedents, consequences, or teaching methods to align with the behavior procedures or treatment established for each client.
-Engages in professional training and courses as necessary and mandated by the governing board, state legislation, and company policies.
-Adhere to the BACB Code of Ethics and HIPAA/Confidential laws consistently when performing professional duties.
