Job Title: Japanese Bilingual Sales Representative

Schedule: Monday - Friday. Occasional nights and weekends will be required for events and meetings.

OVERVIEW:
A global wine manufacturing company is looking for a highly motivated Sales Representative to sustain and broaden sales while nurturing relationships with distributors and restaurants.
The role will entail 80% management of existing client relationships and 20% identification and acquisition of new business opportunities. The ideal candidate must be bilingual in English and Japanese, possess a profound understanding of Japanese culture.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT NOT ARE LIMITED TO:
Foster and sustain robust relationships with distributors, restaurants, existing clientele, and potential accounts.
Drive sales growth for both new and existing customers.
Craft and deliver persuasive sales presentations to key stakeholders.
Regularly attend weekly meetings for sales performance updates and important business activities.
Strategize and execute promotional events like food festivals, conferences, and related gatherings.
Identify and pursue fresh business prospects, negotiating contracts while collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
Develop and execute brand activations for various products by coordinating with internal and external partners.
Conduct research on market trends, competitor activities, and consumer preferences to offer insights for sales strategies.
Deliver prompt and exceptional customer service within designated timelines.
Expected travel of 20% to nurture relationships with key clients and attend industry events.
Additional responsibilities as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Prior experience with Japanese companies is mandatory.
Proficiency in both written and spoken business-level Japanese and English is essential.
Experience in the food, beverage, or alcoholic beverage industry is advantageous.
Profound understanding of Japanese culture.
Flexibility for required travel (anticipated 20% ).
Availability to work occasional nights and weekends for events and meetings.

The base pay range above represents the low and high end of the base compensation range we reasonably expect to pay for this position.
