Mechanical Reliability Technician

Job Title: Mechanical Reliability/ Rotating Equipment tech

Location: Ecorse, MI

Salary: $85,000 - $102,000/year Bonus

Schedule: Full-Time | Travel: 15-20%

Overview:

We're hiring a Mechanical Reliability /Rotating Equipment Specialist to support mechanical system reliability at a single-site industrial facility. This role is hands-on and combines technical troubleshooting, maintenance leadership, and performance optimization of rotating equipment.


Key Responsibilities:

• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on mechanical and rotating systems
  
  


• Lead overhauls and inspections on compressors, pumps, motors, gearboxes, and piping
  
  


• Provide on-site technical support and field troubleshooting
  
  


• Support turnaround planning, estimating, and execution
  
  


• Maintain detailed maintenance records and ensure safe, efficient operations
  
  


• Centrifugal, Reciprocating and Screw Compressors
  
  


• Centrifugal and positive displacement Pumps
  
  


• Turbines
  
  


• Synchronous and Induction Motors
  
  


• High-speed Gearboxes
  
  

Requirements:

• 5 years of experience with industrial rotating and mechanical equipment
  
  


• Background as a journeyman, millwright, machinist, or field service tech
  
  


• Experience rebuilding compressors
  
  


• Strong troubleshooting and communication skills
  
  


• Ability to work independently in the field
  
  

• Completed machinist or millwright apprenticeship, or Associate's in Mechanical Technology Preferred
  
  


• Experience with vibration analysis, dynamic balancing, and CMMS software Preferred
