Job Responsibilities: It’s okay if you haven’t done some of these things before, as long as you expect yourself to learn how to do them! Gather and summarize information on what our clients need and want. Translate business requirements into functional specifications. Validate specifications with internal and external stakeholders. Provide feedback on specifications written by others. Build consensus on project scope and feasibility. Provide initial user feedback on features during the development process. Demonstrate the team’s work to clients and internal stakeholders. Serve as a subject matter expert for Client Support, Professional Services, Advent University, and others. Required characteristics: We are looking for people who have certain attitudes and personality traits. Willing and able to learn independently. Approaches challenges with curiosity and persistence. Able to communicate using both words and equations. Able to plan ahead, but willing to adapt. Self-motivated. Sees what needs to be done and figures out how to do it. Willing and able to collaborate with a diverse group of colleagues located in multiple time zones. Willing to travel occasionally. Preferred qualifications: We are open to a variety of backgrounds, but some knowledge, skills, and experience would be useful. Bachelor’s degree (especially in a field with a quantitative focus, such as finance, engineering, or the physical sciences) Familiar with financial markets and the investment management industry (especially alternative asset management, fund administration, and fund accounting) Experience with programming or software development. Hands-on experience using portfolio accounting software and fund accounting software. Experience with networking, database management systems (especially SQL Server), software development methods (especially Agile), programming languages, and DevOps practices.
