Aerometals is looking to add the following position:
Composites Fabricator
Pay range: $21 - $25 hourly *SHIFT DIFFERENTIAL WILL BE OFFERED*
Schedule: Monday - Thursday 2:30pm - 1:00am
The ideal candidate should be able to demonstrate the ability to:
- Follow traveler, drawing, and specification requirements pertaining to fabrication of composite parts to include fiberglass and Kevlar prepreg layups, honeycomb, and metal-to-metal bonded structures.
- Identify and initiate procurement of required materials.
- Identify tooling requirements.
- Develop required patterns for materials to be used.
- Identify test requirements and ensure proper test coupons are processed with each production batch.
- Set up the autoclave to ensure the required cure cycles are followed.
- Develop and follow process procedure requirements as applicable for operation of the composite’s facility.
- Ensure autoclave is properly maintained and calibrated.
- Provide oversight and clear instructions to other employees assisting in composites fabrication.
- Perform any other duties as required by the organization.
Qualification Requirements:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent
Skills:
- Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and work instructions to fabricate composite structures using vacuum bagging and autoclave.
- Ability to operate autoclave.
- Ability to lift 25 pounds.
- Ability to sit and stand for long periods of time.
Experience: Minimum of 1 year in a manufacturing / assembly environment.
Training: On the job training.
