Inspection Manager

Aerometals is looking to add the following position:

Inspection Manager

Seniority level: Manager – Experienced

Pay range: $95,000 - $125,000 annually

Schedule: Monday- Thursday 7:00am - 4:30pm & Friday 7:00am - 12:00pm

The ideal candidate should be able to demonstrate the ability to:

• Supervise in-process and final inspection personnel and operations.
• Maintain quality records.
• Review completed jobs to assure requirements are fulfilled.
• Present first article and final sales to the government, customers, and source inspectors.
• Interface with the government and suppliers to resolve quality issues.
• Manage investigations for customer returns and provide feedback to the Sales department.  
• Monitor, analyze, and report inspection data to identify trends and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure that corrective actions meet acceptable reliability standards, and that documentation is compliant with customer and regulatory requirements.
• Manage compliance and certifications related to product and process quality for FAA, ISO 9001, and AS9100.
• Work with the Manufacturing, Engineering, and Planning department to interpret prints and specifications required to manufacture a large variety of parts and assemblies.
• Communicate with HR regarding hiring needs and complete interviews for open positions.
• Complete performance reviews: including but not limited to disciplinary actions.
• Prepare and train the Inspection department on new processes and audits.
• Perform other duties as required by the organization.

Qualification Requirements:

Education: Highschool diploma – bachelor’s in management/engineering is a plus

Skills:

• Ability to effectively lead staff.
• Familiarity with ASME Y14.5M.
• Familiarity with AS9100/ISO 9001 standard requirements.
• Familiarity with FAA regulations is a plus.
• NDT Certified - level III preferred 

Experience:  10 years of inspection or quality management in a manufacturing environment

Aerometals Inc. of El Dorado Hills, California is a 40-year veteran of commercial and military aerospace manufacturing. We offer a full range of production services including CNC machining and turning, sheet metal fabrication, welding, assembly, autoclave, and precision assembly. Aerometals has significant experience manufacturing critical application, militarized components to OEM engineering data for use on many fixed wing aircraft and helicopters.
