CNC Mill Set Up Machinist/Tech

As a CNC Mill Set Up Machinist, you will load CNC Mills with programs by entering instructions, including zero and reference points and load raw material for use in the CNC Mill. In addition, you will operate equipment to produce precision metal parts using drawings/schematics/blueprints and verbal instruction. You will use necessary measuring and hand tools as needed.Specific Duties:CNC Mill Set Up Machinist must be able to do set up, load and run machined parts and complete jobs per print.CNC Mill Set Up Machinist must be able to problem-solve and edit programs as needed.LOAD CNC Mills with programs by entering instructions, including zero and reference pointsFinding, installing and using fixtures in addition to visesCNC Mill Set Up Machinist must be able to work from drawings, sketches, or verbal/written instructions.CNC Mill Set Up Machinist must perform operator level PM as needed such as emptying chips / keeping fluid level at proper amounts / cleaning machines/ vises / fixtures / toolsCNC Mill Set Up Machinist must be able to select and use hand tools as required such as mallets, wrenches, pedestal grinders, deburr toolsCNC Mill Set Up Machinist must be able to select and use all necessary inspection and measuring tools as required such as dial calipers, scales, micrometers, height gages, pin and thread gagesPreparing raw material for use in CNC MillCNC Mill Set Up Machinist may need to deburr parts as neededKeep a clean and well organized work areaTeam Player helping with raw material movement, work area cleanliness, helping coworkersOther tasks as directedQualifications and Abilities:High School Diploma, Trade school certificate a plus5 years CNC Mill Set Up Machinist experienceEnglish speaking a MUSTAbility to write in English – Fill out forms such as travelers, logs and part SPC sheetsGood hand eye coordinationUse of hand held tools and measuring equipmentAbility to ask questions and not assumeAbility to lift 25 lbs.Ability to standing for periods of timeExcellent attention to detail and mechanical aptitude.Self-Motivated to get the job done quickly with High QualityWe are an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer.Company DescriptionAerospace Products has over 50 years of manufacturing experience.
