POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Custodian to join our team in Aberdeen, SD. This Custodian will complete the duties below in the afternoon or early evening. This position requires 15-20 hours per week.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Cleans and sanitizes restrooms/bathrooms using established practices and procedure.
• Clean, dust, and wipe furniture; sweep, mop, or vacuum floors; empty/clean wastebaskets and trash containers; refill restroom dispensers.
• Strip, clean, buff and apply floor sealer and floor finish to hard surface floors, vacuum and shampoo carpets.
• Wash walls and equipment; use ladders when required in work assignments.
• Secure building when facilities are not in use checking for unlocked doors, report any unauthorized occupants, turn off lights.
• Follow instructions regarding the use of chemicals and supplies. Use as directed.
• Move furniture, equipment, supplies and tools on an incidental basis.
• Wash accessible interior and exterior windows. Clean blinds.
• Attend safety meetings and other related meetings.
• Adheres to all safety regulations, requirements, policies and procedures, including OSHA regulations, the vehicle policy and fleet safety program, and DOT regulations.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• 6 month- 1-year experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

• Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 50lbs, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc., with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) including a respirator.
• Ability to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above).
• Ability to work in confined spaces.
