Quality Assurance Specialist

Perform supplier system, process, and product audits to QRS-01 Quality Requirements for Suppliers.

Provides suppliers with QRS-01 interpretation of requirements; ensures adherence to company and regulatory requirements; participates in various reviews to assure quality requirements are incorporated into product requirements.

Interfaces with departmental process owners to gather supplier data to accomplish effective supplier audits.

Evaluate supplier root cause and corrective action responses to ensure non-conformances are addressed. Adheres to SQA goals and objectives to ensure audits are completed as planned and corrective actions are closed in a timely manner.

Performs additional assigned activities as directed by Manager, Supplier Quality Assurance.

Requirements:

Education

Bachelor’s Degree Preferred or a combination of high school diploma with relevant work experience in the field of Aerospace/Electrical/Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering.

Experience

One to three (1-3) years of Aerospace Quality experience, preferably in the auditing field.

Competencies & Attributes

QUALITY:

Fundamental understanding of quality system requirements, its development, documentation and implementation to domestic and international standards.

SYSTEM, PROCESS & PRODUCT AUDITS:

Understands the principles of system, process and product audits.

QUANTITATIVE METHODS AND TOOLS:

Basic understanding of the audit process including planning, preparation, execution, reporting results and follow-up.

CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT:

Has an understanding of problem-solving and quality improvement tools and techniques,

• Can develop and implement quality programs, including tracking, analyzing, reporting and problem solving,
• Can identify, describe, and apply elements of the corrective action process including problem identification, failure analysis, root cause analysis, problem correction, recurrence control, verification of effectiveness

Training & Certification

AS9100 Certification, Lead Auditor preferred
