Our client, a growing and well-respected law firm, is seeking an experienced Family Law Attorney to join its Northern New Jersey office. This position offers the opportunity to work on high-impact family law matters within a collaborative, client-focused team.
About the Role:
The attorney will represent clients across a range of domestic relations matters, including separation and divorce, custody and parenting disputes, spousal and child support, equitable distribution of marital assets, and related litigation. The ideal candidate will have strong advocacy and negotiation skills, as well as the ability to manage cases independently or collaboratively.
Key Responsibilities:
Handle all aspects of family law cases, from intake to resolution
Draft and respond to discovery, prepare and argue motions, and participate in settlement negotiations
Represent clients in court proceedings and mediations
Maintain client relationships with empathy, discretion, and professionalism
Collaborate with colleagues and staff across the firm to ensure high-quality legal service
Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years of experience in family law practice
Licensed to practice in New Jersey (New York bar admission is a plus)
Strong legal writing, research, and analytical skills
Proven ability to manage cases efficiently, either independently or as part of a team
Must be able to work from the firm’s Hackensack office several days per week
