Position Overview:
In this vital role, you will be a member of our Installation Estimating team, focusing on quantifying the materials, labor, and equipment needed to complete an installation project bid for our commercial clients in the NY Tri-State area.

Essential Job Functions:

• Reviews mechanical drawings
• Prepares bid packages and estimates based on customer’s scope of work
• Prepares take offs for ducts and piping
• Evaluates accuracy of vendor quotes
• Enters pricing into Access database
• Comprehends customer requirements and makes appropriate alterations
• Builds positive relationships with customers

Key Competencies:

• Must be able to conceptually budget, meet deadlines and use critical thinking skills to scope work accurately based on information provided
• Proficient in MS Office Suite (Excel/Outlook/Word and Access)
• Strong quantitative and analytical math skills
• Successfully multitasks and works effectively in a demanding environment
• Superior time management and organizational skills with exceptional follow-through abilities
• Top performer who can instill pride of workmanship in self and others

Required Education and Experience:

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Mechanical HVAC
• Experience with construction drawings, specifications, schedules, architectural sketches, and other related construction documents including detailed take offs
