What are the responsibilities and job description for the Supervisor Planning position at Airborne Maintenance & Engineering Services?
What you will do:
Provides planning, administrative, budgetary, and direct supervisory control and direction to the planning areas. Develops short term and long-range forecasts that reflect manpower, material, and facility requirements for known and anticipated maintenance events. Provides direct supervision and oversight of planning function to support all maintenance events. Ensures detailed work-scope, manpower, and material requirements are developed for all planned maintenance events and communicated to appropriate department on a timely fashion.
What you need:
- High school diploma or GED
- Demonstrated verbal, written, presentation, problem solving & interpersonal skills necessary to effectively communicate, update, persuade and/or facilitate discussions with all levels of employees and management.
- Proven planning and organizational skills necessary to prioritize assign and coordinate workload of assigned area and employees within a multiple project setting.
- Working knowledge of process improvement methodology and application (i.e. Six Sigma, Lean Principles)
- Six (6) years of heavy aircraft maintenance, planning AND production control experience. OR
- Demonstrated knowledge in maintenance planning, man-hour and material estimating, and production control operations.
- AND Working knowledge of all aspects of maintenance to include mechanical, structural and avionics systems.
- AND 3 years lead or supervisor experience in Heavy maintenance MRO
- AND 3years experience developing maintenance program quotes/proposals for customer consideration
- A & P License
- Proficiency in the operation of Microsoft Office software, Knowledge of MS project, advanced Excel , email and web-based applications.
- Working knowledge of FAA and Federal Aviation Regulations pertaining to FAR Part 145 repair station operations.
Preferred Skills:
- Associates Degree in Aviation Technology or related technical field
- Previous planning, production control or management experience at an FAR Part 145 repair station
- Working knowledge of Wings
