Job Profile
The Quality Control Specialist is a new position of Aisin Texas Corporation in Cibolo, Texas. The Quality Control Specialist is responsible and accountable for metrology within the inspection group. This includes reading and interpreting drawings, CMM programming as well as utilizing other measuring strategies. The specialist would be a subject matter expert and help with training team members. The Specialist would also assist with special measurement requests from the Quality Assurance group.
Supervisory Responsibilities
The Quality Control Specialist will not have any direct supervision responsibilities.
Main Duties / Responsibilities
Create, revise, and execute CMM programs utilizing Calypso software.
Develop and conduct training of team members pertaining to operating the CMM programs.
Validate accuracy of CMM results with other in-house gauge equipment.
Assist with in-house inspection equipment such as digital imaging (Keyence), surface finish equipment. To include consistency checks from supplier parts.
Assist with creating best practice of measurement strategies.
Create reports pertaining to inspection investigations.
Create and implement changes to improve quality control processes, improving safety, quality and reducing costs.
Maintain working environment by complying with ISO14001, IATF16949, safety guidelines, procedures, and regulations.
Required Qualification / Education
Bachelor’s degree
Minimum 5 years of experience in quality control.
Minimum 3 years of CMM programming experience (Calypso Software).
Math skills, - Basic mathematic skills to ensure accurate measurements.
Computer skills working knowledge of Word, Excel, and Power Point.
Effective oral and written communications skills.
Desired Skills / Characteristics
Experience in a cross-cultural working environment.
High mechanical aptitude
Experience with various measuring equipment including tensile testing, cleanliness testing, SEM, gear measurement, hardness testing and 3D scanning.
Problem-solving mindset, willingness to go see the source of the issue.
