Rate Range: $53/hour to $68/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Developer Job Responsibilities Include
Pay Details: $53.00 to $68.00 per hour

Developer Job Responsibilities Include
- Plan and execute data migrations from legacy storage platforms (e.g., Isilon) to modern storage solutions such as Object Storage and GPFS.
- Partner with data owners to define migration or deletion plans, project timelines, tasks, and milestones.
- Support scientific data operations, including ongoing data movement, archival processes, and lifecycle strategy.
- Collaborate with IT infrastructure teams and data engineers to integrate new capabilities that enhance scientific data usability and value.
- Develop and implement data lifecycle policies that balance infrastructure requirements with scientific and business needs.
- Perform data analytics to forecast storage growth and anticipate future capacity requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 5 years of experience in data migration, storage management, or scientific data operations.
- Strong experience working with enterprise storage platforms (e.g., Isilon, Object Storage, GPFS) and managing data lifecycle processes.
- Proven ability to collaborate with data owners and technical teams to plan migrations, define project milestones, and support scientific data workflows.
