Alcoa are seeking an experienced Electrical Planner to join our team at our Warrick location, specifically with our Power Plant team!
The Electrical Planner is responsible for improving work force productivity by eliminating potential delays and obstacles. Efficiently working execution through coordinating availability of resources, parts and material, equipment access, and ensuring thorough backlog management.
The incumbent is charged with supporting the execution of work by estimating, planning, scheduling and coordinating all planned work in assigned area of responsibility. The planner also is responsible for the maintenance of records and files within the CMMS.
Additional duties include:
Planning all electrical maintenance work requested either internally or externally from Maintenance Department customers. The planning process will include:
- Site or area visitation to properly analyze the work needed.
- Job breakdown and estimation of resources.
- Material / parts requirements and expediting of same.
- Internal / external coordination of the schedule for planned work with the customer or outside resource.
- Critique / follow-up / and administrative closure after job completion
- Develop and deliver all work packages required to complete the assigned task in a safe, efficient, cost effective manner.
- Ensure all history and data associated with performing the work is captured and logged in the CMMS.
- Continually evaluate and improve the electrical work planning and scheduling processes through the performance of audits and observations.
- Support and or participate in electrical plant RCFA activities ensuring timely repair and follow-on preventive measures are implemented as directed.
- Develop management systems and tools which support improvement and Reliability Excellence initiatives.
About you

- Previous experience in maintenance or electrical planning, preferably in the heavy industry setting, power generation or utility industry
- Craft experience is a plus
- Proven track record of success in planning and execution
- Preferred education bachelor’s or associate degree
- Proficiency in a wide range of PC software, such as Microsoft Project and Office is well regarded
