Description

The Employment Readiness Specialist (ERS) serves as the liaison between employers, educational resources, and program participants. The ERS assists young adults in acquiring work experience, vocational training and employment readiness opportunities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

Establish relationships and employment agreements with employers in the community in order to develop employment sites for young adults. This may include presentations to potential employers and participating local community service organizations.

Facilitate intern opportunities, job shadowing, paid work experiences, and employment readiness education for program participants

Conduct required assessments to determine employment readiness, employment interests, and current and ongoing skill proficiency

Assess educational needs and interests, and facilitate the development and attainment of educational goals

Maintain accurate and up to date case documentation including performance reporting and analysis.

Qualifications

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelors Degree in human services field plus a minimum of two years related work experience required. Familiarity in MS Office applications required

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Valid N.C or SC. Driver's License.
