Job duties include, but are not limited to:
- Embark on outreach efforts to actively promote & sell event spaces and catering services, and establish a strong working relationship with clients and industry partners to maximize sales opportunities & referrals
- Stay abreast of industry trends, competitors, and marketing avenues to identify areas for potential growth
- Develop & implement sales strategies and marketing initiatives to establish awareness, generate leads, and increase bookings
- Represent the company at industry networking events and trade shows to expand brand visibility
- Communicate effectively & professionally with all managers, chefs, and supporting team members to ensure a successful and seamless event
- Work closely with restaurant GMs & ECs across multiple restaurants to tailor events as needed
- Be a presence at the restaurants to develop a rapport with regular guests and restaurant staff; conduct site visits with prospective clients to promote the spaces for events
- Respond to leads quickly and effectively, utilizing cross-promotional offerings across the restaurant group
- Exhibit a high level of organization in managing leads and executing events
- Manage on and off-site events from start to finish with a high level of service; enthusiastically go above and beyond for guests to exceed their expectations
- Train and educate the service team on proper event procedures, and maintain the company's service standards by holding them to the highest standard of hospitality throughout the events
- Increase overall sales for the company
Qualifications
- Must have 3 years of event sales &/or catering management experience
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
- Open, flexible schedule with availability to work evenings and weekends
- Proficiency in MS Office, Triple Seat, and/or Gather, Open Table, and Apple programs
- Demonstrated excellence & professionalism with verbal and written communication skills (in English)
- Superior hospitality skills with a focus on high-level service
- Exceptional multi-tasking skills
- Ability to troubleshoot critical issues in the moment while always maintaining a professional demeanor
- Meticulous attention to detail and highly organized
- Adept negotiation skills to provide a profitable event for the restaurant while meeting the guests' needs /wants
- Valid drivers license
