We are excited to announce that we are looking for a Full-Time Procedure Scheduler at the office of Long Island Gastroenterology Specialists in Wantagh, New York
The Procedure Scheduler Responsibilities are:
- Provides assistance, services and care to patients by scheduling appointments and procedures, providing procedure preparation instructions, answering questions, coordinating with other facilities and physicians, and providing other front-end administrative assistance.
- This position provides clerical and data entry support to the Care Center and may schedule outpatient procedures and similar duties
- Requires a positive approach, ability to multi-task, flexibility and a keen understanding of policies and procedures.
- May check in and check out patients, processes tasks and or messages in electronic records system.
- May collect co-pays/payments on patient accounts, balances daily batches, summarizes batches and prepares deposits and postings.
The Procedure Scheduler must have the following qualifications and experience:
- High School Diploma,
- Medical office experience a plus
