Senior Investment Data Analyst
Our Client is seeking a Senior Investment Data Analyst to support and enhance its investment data and reporting ecosystem within the Investment & Risk Operations team. This role blends investment data expertise and strong technical skills to drive automation, improve data quality, and build scalable data solutions supporting the full investment lifecycle.
This is a highly collaborative role partnering across Investment Management, Risk, Operations, Accounting, Treasury, Technology, and external vendors.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement automated, scalable investment data pipelines (ingestion, transformation, validation, reconciliation, and reporting)
- Support investment data product management, including requirements gathering, user stories, UAT, and roadmap planning
- Enhance and maintain data infrastructure, pipelines, and centralized repositories
- Monitor and troubleshoot data flows, analyze exceptions, and improve data quality controls
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports for oversight, modeling, and strategic decision-making
- Act as a subject matter expert for investment data infrastructure
- Partner cross-functionally and with external vendors (e.g., risk analytics and investment accounting platforms)
- Advance data governance, including data dictionaries, metadata, and documentation
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Math, IS, CS, Data Science, or related field
- 5 years of financial services experience with direct exposure to investment data management
- Proven ability to optimize processes, reduce manual effort, and mitigate operational risk
- Strong communication skills and stakeholder engagement experience
Preferred Skills
- Experience with AWS and modern data pipeline architecture
- Power BI or similar data visualization tools
- Programming experience (Python, R, or similar)
- Familiarity with platforms such as BlackRock Aladdin, FactSet, Clearwater
- Agile methodologies and tools
- CFA designation or progress toward completion
Salary : $110,000 - $140,000
