The Senior Accountant, Financial Systems is responsible for overseeing our financial systems and ensuring accurate and efficient recording of financial transactions. This role will be responsible for managing and maintaining tables in Oracle Cloud, ensuring accurate data management, and supporting system functionality. The role is detail-oriented & the ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of Oracle Cloud applications, data structures, and functional processes.

Job Duties And Responsibilities
Financial System Management:
- Assist in managing and maintaining the organization's financial systems, including accounting software, databases, and reporting tools.
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data through regular audits, reconciliations, and data validations.
- Collaborate with IT and finance teams to troubleshoot and resolve system-related issues, including upgrades and integrations.
- Create, modify, and update tables in Oracle Cloud based on business requirements and system changes.
- Define and enforce data standards and best practices to ensure data quality and consistency.
- Perform regular data audits, validations, and reconciliations to identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Assist in providing functional support to end-users regarding table management, data entry, and system usage.
- Assist in resolving user-reported issues related to table configurations and data maintenance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze business requirements for table modifications or enhancements.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation within table management and data administration.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to streamline and optimize data-related processes and workflows.
- Propose and implement enhancements to improve data accuracy, efficiency, and usability.
- Stay updated with Oracle Cloud updates, releases, and best practices related to table management.
- Identify process inefficiencies and recommend improvements to streamline financial operations and enhance controls.
- Participate in system enhancements, upgrades, and implementations to support evolving business needs.
- Develop and document standard operating procedures to ensure consistent and accurate financial processes.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required
- 3-4 years of directly related work experience required
- Proven success in system implementation
- Proven experience as an Accountant, preferably with exposure to financial system management.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles, financial processes, and internal controls.
- Proficiency in using financial software and ERP systems (Oracle (required), Dynamics GP).
- Proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL for querying Oracle databases.
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools. BI Publisher, VBA, and Power Query are a plus.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance and reporting requirements.
