Responsibilities:
- Plan weekly sales calls.
- Create a target sales list and build a pipeline.
- Solicit new business opportunities.
- Maintain current business relationships.
- Improve profitability.
- Assist with Requests for Proposal (RFP's)
- Prepare Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) for customer instructions.
- Identify new business opportunities within a specified territory by cold calling.
- Follow up on all sales leads.
- Participate in pricing analysis.
- Prepare and execute sales presentations.
- Participate in sales meetings.
- Leverage industry knowledge to develop high-level RFP strategies, improve upon our existing customer relationships and grow accounts.
- Work with management to develop market strategies.
- Negotiate and coordinate logistics solutions for clients.
- Develop customer relationships and respond to customer rate and service inquiries.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Sales, Business Management, Logistics, or a related field
- 5 years’ professional sales experience in the transportation industry, 3rd party logistics FTL/LTL, or related field experience preferred.
- High-level analytical, organizational, and communication skills and the stamina to use them every day.
- Demonstrates a strong sense of urgency, a problem solver who takes initiative.
- Ability to succeed with minimal guidance, manage multiple priorities simultaneously, and take initiative under ambiguous circumstances.
- Comfortable working in a high volume, fast-paced, rapidly changing, results-oriented work environment.
- Proficient computer skills with PC-based desktop applications, such as Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, MS Word, MS Excel), email, and web-based meeting and presentation applications
- Ability to travel with occasional overnight stays may be required.

- Excellent communication, well organized, clear, and concise
- Ability to effectively plan and organize appointments and meet reporting deadlines.
- Excellent networking skills are a must.
- Participation in industry-related organizations preferred.
Salary : $73,000 - $92,500
