Job Description

• Senior Accountant: This position is an integral part of the US Finance function supporting intercompany management of the US commercial operations.
• The successful incumbent will be responsible for a variety of accounting functions, including monthly close activities, recording journal entries and reconciliations of balance sheet accounts and with intercompany partners.
• The individual will be a key contributor in the continued movement towards the harmonization of internal reporting processes.

Core Responsibilities

• Prepares work in the following areas: Journal entries, such as accrued liabilities, transfer price adjustments, standard cost revaluation, and intercompany accruals Balance sheet account reconciliations Balance sheet account roll forwards, including variance analysis and explanations Intercompany reconciliation, elimination, and reporting.
• Document intercompany loans and ensure intercompany profit is properly eliminated.
• Research and resolve disputes and ensure intercompany balances are reconciled.
• Handle multiple entities, accounts and currency postings Develop strong relationships with operators and Key Stakeholders Prepare and present variance commentary of the monthly actuals review Support internal and external SOX 404 audit requests and compliance requirements Monthly distribution intercompany reports to key members Produce ad-hoc analysis, evaluating transactions from branches and entities
• Other Responsibilities Support departmental, functional and corporate initiatives Assist with the application of GAAP to new transactions Establish rapport and build cooperative, respectful working relationships with relevant internal and external parties As departmental workloads change, additional responsibilities may be required.

Qualifications Required:

• Bachelor s degree in accounting Required: Advanced MS Excel / MS Office Preferred: CPA, MBA and/or public accounting experience Preferred:
• Experience with HFM/PeopleSoft/SAP Preferred: 3 years of experience with similar responsibilities in a 500M business Competencies Creative problem solver Excellent verbal and writing skills Process mindset with focus on continuous improvement.
• Knowledge of internal controls and segregation of duties.
• Performs well under pressure e.g. changing priorities and tight deadlines Demonstrates high level of maturity, self-motivation and team-orientation
