Ai Fiori showcases modern interpretations of cuisine from the French and Italian Riviera and offers employees the opportunity to work with quality Italian cuisine & wine/spirits, a respectful, safe, professional work environment, and a management team uniquely invested in the growth and success of all team members. Sommelier Responsibilities include: Actively engage in service, recommending wines, cocktail & spirit beverage pairings, and anything else needed to enhance the guest experience, and lead with a hands-on approach. Stay knowledgeable and up to date on classic and new wines, and liquors. Assist in growing wine/beverage sales in the restaurant and develop strong guest relationships. Help maintain the wine cellar, the beverage storeroom, and assist in monthly inventories Perform other duties as required by management. Sommelier Requirements: 4 years of restaurant industry experience preferred, with 2 years of experience working with beverage Solid foundation with Italian and French wine & spirits. Candidates should be highly organized, efficient, and be able to work precisely Ability to multitask and plan ahead Ability to teach and encourage the restaurant staff to develop their wine knowledge Candidates should demonstrate creativity and a commitment to the brand success Be able to walk, stand, grab, kneel, climb stairs, and hold up to 50 lbs. without any assistance.
