What are the responsibilities and job description for the Associate Designer position at Altec, Inc.?
Responsibilities PURPOSE OF POSITION :
- To provide technical solutions and design mechanical, hydraulic and electric systems with direct engineering oversight MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Create basic design solutions for existing and new products
- May design model structure / BOM's
- Perform Product Development work such as create and maintain basic drawings, solid models, system schematics, hydraulic and electrical diagrams
- Works directly with other departments on specifications and requirements
- All other duties as assigned EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED :
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Four year applicable degree with one year's industry specific experience (preferred) or
- Two year applicable degree with two years' industry specific experience or
- Mechanical Design Certificate ("Certified SOLIDWORKS Associate in Mechanical Design" meets this requirement) plus four years' industry specific experience
- 3D CAD Required (for Mechanical Drafters)
- Basic PC skills, utilizing spreadsheets, word processing and databases FINANCIAL BUDGETING, CAPITAL, AND / OR MANPOWER RESPONSIBILITIES :

- Demonstrated record of responsibility
