Position: Production Scheduler
Job Description:
The Production Scheduler is responsible for the live goods scheduling, sourcing and maintenance of crop records to support the achievement of our weekly sales and production plan goals. The Schedulers key role is to collaborate with the production teams and the General Manager to maintain master data, create crop records, purchase live good inputs and manage product flow to ensure sales plan targets are attained. Individuals with a genuine love for plants, analytical in natural and possess a high attention to detail will excel in this role. Reports to the Granville General Manager, but with close and constant collaboration with the Director of Planning and Supply Chain.
Duties & responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Schedule assigned crops to meet sales plans
- Communication of live goods orders to our brokers and internal partners.
- Match vendor confirmations to purchase orders and scheduled crop records.
- Communicate back orders and variety substitutions to sales and program managers ensuring order details meet plan requirements.
- Track orders to ensure accurate and timely receiving of purchase orders.
- Communicate and track product claims and replacement need with vendors and our various production facilities.
- Engage production and sales teams to improve varietal selection, optimize production efficiencies.
- Maintain relevant master data to align with needs communicated by production operations and planning managers.
- Coordinate with production coordinators and planting supervisors to generate production planting lists to match vendors advanced ship notifications. Resolve any discrepancies to ensure crop records and product flow match up and meet sales plan targets.
- Generate Excel reports using pivot tables to track product flow against weekly sales plan needs.
- Assist in trial data collection and observations. Create power point presentations summarizing observations from grower teams to review potential program improvements with the planning director and sales teams.
- Always ensure complete accuracy and validity of data being used in the process
- Lead Monthly Crop Timing and Variety Performance Meeting.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required skill set:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Analytical focus with high attention to detail.
- Self-starter with strong organizational skills, ability to multi-task and work independently.
- Strong working knowledge of Excel, pivot tables, and report generation
- Genuine love of plants and respect for all people.
