As the Nordic Spa Concierge, you are authorized to exceed guest expectations and maximize spa revenue each and every shift. You will achieve excellence by making business decisions that are focused on upholding the highest standards in guest service while delivering against key financial goals and performance metrics for the department. Tasks & Responsibilites
- Owns the guest’s sense of arrival by monitoring the cleanliness and readiness of all guest forward facing spaces including, guest entrance and reception area, retail space, seating areas, garbage receptacles and the condition of outdoor pathways leading to the spa entrance.
- Product Knowledge of all spa amenities, promotions, access types’ and resort and community amenities is essential.
- Prepares for all guest arrivals by ensuring all arrival protocols are completed and communicated to the Spa Concierge supervisor.
- Accuracy and attention to detail are two skills that support excellent service; your ability to make the guest’s stay hassle free is tied directly to accuracy in making reservations, posting charges, handling payments, providing guest information, spa orientations, controlling traffic and coordinating packages for guests.
- Sells the hotel’s features and benefits over the phone, and in person at the spa reception desk, and securing the reservation is a daily activity requiring excellent product knowledge and advanced communication skills.
Education & Experience
- Spa, Hospitality, Guest Service or Retail experience
- Computer literacy and previous reservation software and POS experience preferred
- Passion for Guest Service and Health and Wellness
Working Conditions
This position may work long days and/or weekends to meet periodic upturn in business demands or meet deadlines. This position is set in a fast-paced environment, with high levels of interaction with employees, guests and other stakeholders. Working outdoors in a variety of Mountain weather conditions, with average temperature ranges of -30 C / -22 F to 30 C / 86 F.
Physical Demands
The employee is regularly required to reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Visual ability to observe employees in the workplace, analyze operations and detect situations of concern with regard to areas such as employee performance, grooming, training and policy adherence. Employee may be required to pass a functional capacity test developed for this job.
