Required experience:
- Experience in contract manufacture operations preferred
- Demonstrated business communication skills, including but not limited to verbal and written communication skills, the ability to communicate effectively over the phone and interpersonal skills
- Previous experience with original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) preferred
- New graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering or Business major preferred
Responsibilities:
- Assists with managing supplier relationships and escalation points and manages product sourcing strategy including planning, cost targets, contract negotiations, coordination with management, marketing, and business strategy teams.
- Continuously drive cost savings and process improvement opportunities, present and implement the initiatives and its progress
- Support business continuity, and lead pricing competitiveness, quality and operational flexibility across major projects
- Work across stakeholders, cross-functional teams and 3rd parties to ensure that products are compliant to all relevant standards and certifications required for target markets
- Work with sales and marketing teams to analyze supply and demand, product market environments, and to identify opportunities, challenges and risk mitigation.
- Assists with managing the vendor relationships in cost/contract negotiation, business strategy planning, capacity utilization review, and NPI project ramp up.
- Coordinate with Engineering and oversee all aspects of multiple projects including the requirement, project schedule and supply availability to ensure products are optimized for cost, supply chain flexibility and efficiency
- Drive full awareness of alternative product and process changes, which will impact supply chain and manufacture.
- Sourcing the commodities to ensure continuity of supply chain, operational flexibility and high quality.
- Coordinate with internal cross-functional teams and external agencies to ensure that products are compliant to all relevant standards and have all country certifications required for sale in the target markets
